I mean for reals, carrot cake does not get enough credit. It is a quintessential fall dessert with its rustic coloring, crunch of pecans, chewy raisins, savory carrot, and perfectly spiced taste. Don't even get me started on that cream cheese frosting.

STOP. Seriously STAHPPPPPP! Stop what you are doing and go make this cake because, well, I can't stop eating this cake sitting on my counter and no matter how many times I cover it up with a cake cover I open it back up and sneak another bite.

When the stars are out and the night is late anything could happen. I wanted to capture a little of that magic in edible form. What better canvas than a cake? Accio cake!...

With one bite of gooey marshmallow, crunchy graham cracker, and rich chocolate I am transported back to a time where sticky fingers, smoky sweatshirts, spooky ghost stories, and the smell of bug spray made me feel like the happiest girl in the world.

You're a peach and I made you a cake. According to everyone in New York city, summer is almost at an end. Ever an optimist, I am convinced that summer won't actually be over until it cools down in October.

Firstly, I have to confess that "coconut" may be a little misleading of a description but I had to cue you in to the fact that these delightful little nuggets are [insert drum roll here] DAIRY-FREE. That's right. You heard me. Who knew it was possible?! 

This is the opposite of the last cake post. It'll take you just a couple ingredients and minutes to assemble instead of days to prepare. Strawberries are perfectly in season this time of year and the most glorious red color. 

Springtime decadence. That's how I would describe this cake. Layers of rich and moist chocolate cake sandwiched with tart blackberry compote, fluffy vanilla buttercream, and topped off with a luxurious white chocolate matcha ganache. Sigh with me now. Le sigh!

This pie isn't for little girls. Grown-ups only. This is a grown person pie. A pie for grown persons to eat. There are no persons in it, because that would be gross, but there are amazing, delicious, glossy things that make this pie into a little heaven on Earth. 

Paris is always a good idea. From the buttery croissants to the perfectly caramelized crème brûlée it was as much of a culinary adventure as it was a historical one. It's strange how certain tastes and smells can bring you right back to those memories! I will never forget my April in Paris. 

It's a stunner, right? I tried to come up with a more clever name but nothing quite described the flavor explosion that is this cake. 

Lavender and honey got hot and steamy in a pot a cooled into a delicious cream that dreams are made of. Dream. Freaking. Cream. If ice cream could be romantic this flavor is the romantic-est.
